1. HOW DO I APPLY TO BE A LISTED TUTOR ON TUTY?

    Registering is super easy. Click on ‘Become a Tutor’ and follow the instructions. You will be asked to write a bio, provide a photo, provide information on your qualifications and expertise, and agree to our terms of use. We do have to approve your profile before it is listed on our platform. You will be subject to our vetting and verification process and we will let you know the outcome of your application.

  2. HOW DO BOOKINGS WORK?

    When you receive a booking request from a student you have up to 24 hours to accept, decline or amend the offer, otherwise, it will expire. You will be notified by e-mail and text whenever you receive a booking request.

  3. WHAT IF I CAN’T MAKE MY SESSION?

    1. If possible contact the student and explain why.
    2. On your dashboard select ‘Active Appointments’ find the session and under actions select cancel.
    3. The student will be refunded.
  4. HOW DO PAYMENTS AND COMMISSION WORK?

    It is completely free to make a profile and get listed on Tuty. We enable tutors to build clientele and network without taking any commission. That’s right, tutors keep 100% of what they earn.

    Your earnings are then released to your nominated bank account within 48 hours of completing the lesson. Please add your bank account details to your wallet and this process will happen automatically.

  5. HOW DO I INCREASE MY PAGE RANK?

    Your rating and the number of hours you have tutored determine where your listing appears. To boost your page rank ask your students to leave a rating at the end of each lesson.

    The more hours you log teaching through Tuty, the higher your listing climbs in search results.

  6. CAN I UPLOAD DOCUMENTS TO MY PROFILE?

    Yes, in fact, students prefer to hire someone that can validate grades and information that you choose to put on your profile.

    Feel free to upload files, screenshots or photos to prove that your profile information is accurate; students can then view these attachments.

  7. HOW DO I CHANGE BETWEEN STUDENT AND TUTOR PROFILES?

    You can be both a student and a tutor on our website. To seamlessly change between your two accounts hit the arrow next to your profile photo and select the portal you wish to use.

  8. HOW DO I CONTACT STUDENTS

    When you confirm the lesson the contact details of your student can be viewed. Go to ‘My sessions’ and under ‘Actions’ click the view icon to see the student's contact information.
